These beautiful earrings are handmade and intricately woven by Cambodian artisans. Each earring is handmade with silk purchased from local NGOs that work with marginalized Cambodian populations. Each piece of silk is woven using traditional Khmer basket weaving techniques.

The Center for Self-Sufficiency works with senior citizens to help them earn a living, as many Cambodians have lost their land or do not have family due to the Khmer Rouge regime. This regime created massive wealth disparities between the wealthy who live in the cities and the poor who have little to no opportunities to make a living wage in the rural areas.
